Kaufhold & Reveillaud Expands German Desk

The Desk reflects the steady influx of German clients seen in recent years and aligns with the firm’s mission to continuously satisfy the inbound and outbound cross-border needs of its diverse client base.

Recognizing the importance of multi-local insight, Kaufhold & Réveillaud officially launched the Desk in 2006 to serve its German-speaking clientele, mainly in the areas of corporate law, commercial litigation and labor law.

“While Germany and Luxembourg are similar in many ways, there are distinct legal and cultural differences that must be grasped in order to have a complete picture,” said Brigitte Czoske, Lawyer at Kaufhold & Réveillaud and cofounder of the German Desk. “Having this dedicated service means that we appreciate and fully understand both contexts and their nuances.”

Czoske the Desk’s head, is fully licensed to practice law in Germany.

Additionally, she is cofounder of Luxembourg’s German Bar Association (Deutscher AnwaltVerein in Luxemburg), serving as Vice President. Charles Kaufhold, Founding Partner of the law firm, leads the organization in his role as President.

“Our team has experience with the legal worlds on both sides of the border and is uniquely equipped to support our international clients. When a German client arrives he or she is often used to another legal system, so we can assist,” Czoske added.

When recruiting new lawyers in 2016, Kaufhold & Réveillaud specifically focused on German speakers to reinforce this specific aspect of their service offering, addressing the needs of individuals who are generally from Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland or Austria.
